Kirsten & Callum – Bali Destination Wedding
Last year Kirsten and Callum invited me along to capture their magical wedding day in Bali! I had shot a couple of Destination Weddings before this one, but I had never traveled to Bali and truth be told, I may never have visited Bali if these two hadn’t asked me to come and capture their day… but wow, it really exceeded my expectations! I understand why they love the place so much that for many years they have visited over and over again with family and friends – it really holds a special place in their hearts and it made for the perfect setting to exchange their vows in a traditional Buddhist ceremony and party the night away under the stars at Villa Jewel. Silver Lace Weddings did the most incredible job styling and planning the day to perfection. Despite the insane humidity and quite a few hurdles in the days leading up to the big event (who needs electricity for a wedding anyway??) this couple were cool, calm and collected and really enjoyed the day. A huge thanks to Nicola Holland for coming along to be my Bali Tour guide and second shooting this beautiful day with me! The bar served cocktails all night, we were treated to the most incredible feast of Balinese Cuisine and Callum, a former DJ, had the perfect mix of music to match the energy of the day and night!
