Kat & Shane – Montville Wedding

My dear friends Kat and Shane were married among their friends and family at Montville Village Hall on probably the wettest June weekend ever. Torrential rain poured all day on the Friday and was predicted to keep coming. Saturday came and it somehow miraculously eased off. By the time their afternoon ceremony rolled around the rain had all but eased to little more than a drizzle! Kat made the call to and go ahead with the outdoor ceremony with a resounding “YOLO”. I could not have been happier to arrive and see a blanket of magical fog for the backdrop of this gorgeous Montville Wedding!

We played around after the ceremony with the fog and moody light and I was in my element. Then it was time to head into the hall for an incredible, relaxed DIY reception. What was on the menu? Wood-fired pizzas for dinner, delicious baked treats for dessert and the most beautiful first dance I’ve ever witnessed. Shane chose Paul Kelly’s “You’re 39, You’re Beautiful and You’re Mine” for their first dance, and it was performed by the super talented Mitch Davis.
