When Blake and Jess contacted me about shooting their destination wedding in New Zealand I looked at my calendar and realized it was the same weekend that I had planned to get hitched myself! However this was not something I could say no to. All I could envision was snow capped mountains and beautiful lakes, stunning scenery everywhere you look. So my wedding date changed. I started preparing to head over to shoot a snowy Queenstown wedding just one week prior to my own wedding day!
I could not have ever imagined how quickly and deeply I would fall in love with New Zealand. It literally felt like walking around in an incredibly beautiful painting. I had my husband to be stopping every kilometre everywhere we drove to take photos!
Destination wedding photography is the coolest thing that I have ever done. Traveling all over this country is rad enough; having someone love my work enough to fly me to another country and have me capture their wedding, is next level! I plan on heading back soon, so if you are planning a 2017 Queenstown wedding (or anywhere in NZ), get in touch! I have some super affordable destination wedding photography options!
But for now, take a leisurely scroll through Jess and Blake’s snowy beautiful day. From the preparations, to their pre-wedding location photos in Arrowtown, on to their stunning ceremony and reception at The Winehouse.
