Welcome! I'm Emma!
I'm a mother of dachshunds, daughter of a musician, wife of a green thumb and a maker of images living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
I’m a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, but I will go anywhere you want to take me. Since 2007 I have traveled around this beautiful country and overseas as a destination wedding photographer to capture some incredible celebrations for couples in Vanuatu, Fiji, Bali, New Zealand, Hayman Island, Daydream Island, Port Douglas, Melbourne, Sydney and Byron Bay. I've always wanted to see the world, and the fact that I get to do that while also making a living is more than I could have ever dreamed. That said, if you're planning a Destination Wedding please get in touch, as travel fees for some of my bucket list destinations may be waived!
Family Photography is also something I love. I'm a big fan of creating candid imagery of you and your loved ones just being yourselves across some seriously stunning locations around the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Please bring your dog!
Some things about me...
... after all, if you're looking for someone who will essentially spend
your whole wedding day with you, it might help know a thing or two about them!
First and foremost, dogs are the BEST. Mine in particular are especially great. Pepper and Bueno (like the chocolate bar) are my babies which makes me a legit crazy dog lady.
I'm married to a pretty cool guy with a Viking level beard who likes to garden and build things out of wood.
I love cake, going on adventures, pina-coladas, interrupting conversations to point out dogs, picnics, listening to true crime podcasts, freshly baked bread, laughing until my stomach hurts and never ever watching "just one" episode of any show.
Playing guitar and singing has also been a bit of a passion of mine since I was about 13 thanks to my dad being a lifelong muso. In an alternate life, if I wasn't out shooting weddings on the weekends, I'd probably be playing obscure acoustic covers of in the corner of a bar somewhere.
If you ever need someone to rap "Mr Boombastic", "Up In Here", or "Boom Shake the Room" in the car with, I'm your girl!
As a wedding photographer, I specialise in creating moment-rich collections of imagery from a day where you have all of your best people in the same space. I want you to relax, and enjoy every second of this day you’ve planned, dreamed of and counted down to, knowing that I’m going to preserve it all for you.
12 years ago I photographed my very first wedding. I dove straight in. It. Was. Incredible. One of my favourite things about taking photos up until that point was snatching that split second moment that combined a beautiful portrait with a rush of emotion, laughter, tears or pure joy, visible in this image forever. Weddings were just so FULL of those moments.
As a teenager I'd take my little film camera with me everywhere I went, searching for something special that stood out, sneaking photos of my friends in the middle of a fit of laughter or setting them all up in ridiculous poses. Then I'd drop off my film, wait 7 days and rush to the camera shop with unfettered excitement so see how each frame had turned out. I still feel that excitement to this very day when I press the shutter button and realise I've just made something really special for someone to cherish.
Don't take my word for it, check out what my couples have to say!
Emma photographed my partner and I for a couples shoot last year before same sex marriage became legal and we just had the best experience with her that when we started to plan our wedding the very first thought was
‘We have to find out when Emma is free!’
Our wedding was 2 days ago and we couldn’t have asked for the day to have been any better and to have Emma be our photographer just made the day that much more perfect.
We feel so privileged that she was able to be the one to capture every moment. We definitely know we will have THE most AMAZING photos.
We can not thank her enough, she is the easiest, friendliest person to work with and we feel very blessed that she was part of our big day.
